Just in time for the Expo: If you would like to see a lot of twitter accounts from the German Twittersphere, use Twitterposter. It visualizes a certain amount of Twitterfriends from a country and is working through the Twitter API.

This is the general version:
twitterposter

And this the one for Germany:
twitterposter germany

It is build by Come’n'Click Networks, already available are the following countries:

You may note that my picture is rather prominently in there, and I point it out because it shows of a problem: I use two twitter accounts, one for English one for German to make it easier for people to follow in the right language. Given, that one has more followers than the other, but the general principal of “one icon, one person” may not be easy as it seems.

If you are reading any Germans, I suggest you switch them off for a week.
Just like with SXSW in the beginning of this year, the German Twitter sphere is heating up with tweets about arriving at Berlin for the Barcamp and Podcamp and then on the Web 2.0 Expo and everything else happening that week.

If you are not attending - you might want to switch of your twitter for the next week altogether ;)
